Autograph manuscript play, heavily corrected, Acts I and II only of the verse tragedy, concerning Fr. Girolamo Savonarola of Ferrara (1452-1498), the death of Lorenzo de'Medici (1449-1492), and the establishment of a Christian republic in Florence under Savonarola, including his preaching, the Bonfire of the Vanities, his excommunication and execution.
